Appendix #9

Labeling Open and Closed Caption Files

Open and Closed Caption files are coded as "CCAP" for Closed Caption and "OCAP" for Open Caption.

CCAP and OCAP can either appear at the end of the Movie Title field or at the end of the Language field.

For example, the Closed Caption Version File for a feature could be labeled either:

     MovieTitleCCAP_FTR-1_F_EN-EN_US-G_51-EN_2K_ST_20070115_FAC_VF-1
     or
     MovieTitle_FTR-1_F_EN-EN-CCAP_US-G_51-EN_2K_ST_20070115_FAC_VF-1

Note in these examples that the audio and closed caption languages are the same; and that "EN" appears in both the audio and the subtitle sections of the Language field.

The OV file these Version Files would access (the FTR-1 OV) would be labeled without any language indication in the subtitle field:

     MovieTitle_FTR-1_F_EN-XX_US-G_51-EN_2K_ST_20070115_FAC_OV
